We are pleased to announced that Felix G. officially joined DARKFALL on bass and Thomas K. rejoined the band on drums for the next couple of shows. Please welcome them at our next shows at Feel The Noise Festival, 5 May and Vienna Metal Meeting, 12 May both in Austria.
Unfortunately, we are forced to cancel our appearance at Club Q in Graz, Austria on 7 April 2018. One of our members is suffering a temporary hearing damage and therefore we are not able to perform. All other shows like Feel The Noise Festival V and Vienna Metal Meeting 2018 should be played as scheduled. We will keep you updated. Stay tuned.
Before heading into a new era, DARKFALL will see off their long-time bandmates Thomas Kern (drums) and Markus Seethaler (bass) with a farewell show at Club Q, Graz, Austria on 7 April 2018. Soon a new line-up and more shows will be announced. Stay tuned.

With great regret we have to announce that DARKFALL will part ways with drummer Thomas Kern and bassist Markus Seethaler in forseeable future. We want to thank both of them for their great work and efforts throughout the last years and wish them all the best for their future. Felix Gschier now officially joins DARKFALL as our new bassist. A new drummer will be presented as soon as possible. Nevertheless most of our upcoming shows in 2018 are sure to be played as planned. Stay tuned for further announcements.

On the 23rd of June, Black Sunset/MDD Records re-released our album "Road To Redemption", originally released in 2013. But that is not all: we have also finished working on our new album, which will be released in late summer. The new record will be titled "At The End Of Times" and will include ten songs mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio. "At The End Of Times" combines all our trademarks like brutal but nevertheless epic riffing, blasting drums and harsh growls. The official release show is scheduled for the 8th of September in Graz, Orpheum. More information coming soon!

Unfortunately, one of our guitar players broke one of his fingers and is still recovering from that injury. Therefore we decided to cancel our next shows in Vöcklabruck and Villach both in Austria. We were looking forward to these shows but the fact that we would not have been able to perform at full power forced us to make that unfortunate decision. We feel sorry for the fans and organizers of these shows and want to apologize for any inconveniences our decision might cause. Hopefully, we will be able to catch up on these shows very soon. Our next show is scheduled in Passau, Germany on the 29th of October 2016. Nevertheless, good luck to our brothers in arms Fallen Utopia. And YOU, the fans, enjoy the shows!

Yes, 2015 turns out to be th e year of our 20th anniversary and be sure that we will celebrate it with a blast. We are looking forward to being back on stage, but first of all we have to record our upcoming full-length album. The song writing sessions are almost finished and the recordings will start very soon. While recording the new songs we will take a short break from playing live, but we will hit the stage in summer 2015 for some special 20th anniversary open air shows in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia.

We are back from KALTENBACH OPEN AIR. And after this very special show, we want to hail all of you for this amazing festival summer. A lot of great metal madness is now behind us and of course we are looking forward to continue.
By now, DARKFALL is confirmed for SONA FEST in Villach, Austria on the 13th of September 2014 and after that show we will focus on our forthcoming recording sessions for our upcoming full length album. So, we will turn down our live activities until summer 2015 and DARKFALL will be back stronger than ever before with some special 20th anniversary festival shows in summer and autumn 2015. Be prepared and get thrashed!!!

Unfortunately the first leg of TESTAMENT’s European tour including the show in Graz, Austria on the 22th of November 2012 has been cancelled. For detailed information please read the official statement released by the band:
"Bay area thrash legend’s TESTAMENT have announced several European tour dates planned for this November/December. The appearances include re-booked shows that had to be rescheduled due to drummer Gene Hoglan’s commitments with his other band DETHKLOK. The LAMB OF GOD and DETHKLOK U.S. tour had to be canceled and DETHKLOK re-booked some shows. This has caused some conflicts with a few previously scheduled TESTAMENT dates since Gene couldn’t participate in them,” said the band. “Mark Hernandez (ex-FORBIDDEN) will be helping us out but he wasn’t available until November the 25th. So various shows will be staying the same but others may be moved to 2013.” All refunds for cancelled shows are available at point of purchase.
In spite of this cancellation of our planned support show the recording sessions for our upcoming album are still in progress and we hope to see you all at the release show scheduled for spring 2013.

DARKFALL is back on stage as support for mighty TESTAMENT in the course of their European tour promoting their new album “Dark Roots Of Earth”. The show is scheduled for Graz, Orpheum (Austria) on the 22nd of November 2012 and the billing will include TESTAMENT, DEW-SCENTED, STEEL ENGRAVED and DARKFALL. Check out the flyer here.
For DARKFALL, this will be the one and only show before the official album release show scheduled for spring 2013. Back from Metalfest AustriaDARKFALL wants to thank the festival organization for giving us the short-termed change to play on mainstage and the moremetal.org team for inviting us to their signing session point. And most DARKFALL wants to hail all the fans who attended our show and signing session to make it a memorable day for the whole band. Unfortunately our guitar player Alfred Hollerer was not able to head with us into battle due to some private reasons but as mentioned during the show the rest of DARKFALL dedicated this show to Alfred and we all hope that he will return very soon! Unfortunately DARKFALL had to cancel the show on the 12th of November due to some private reasons, sorry for this! We also want to hail CREMATION for their short-termed step into the breach!
DARKFALL has also to announce that Markus Seethaler decided to leave the band due to some professional reasons and he will play his last two shows with DARKFALL on the 19th of November in Weiz and 3rd of December in Graz. So we hope that you all will celebrate this farewell shows with us to make it some great memories for Markus and the band. This two shows will also be the last shows for DARKFALL within a period of about six months!
Last but not least DARKFALL wants to thank Markus for his great support and passionate work throughout the last 4 years and he will always remain a DARKFALL-member in never-ending honor. Thanx brother and stay brutal!!!

Unfortunately DARKFALL also had to play a very unusual show in Budapest without vocalist Thomas Spiwak who has been afflicted by a serious disease! It was the first DARKFALL show without him since 1996 but he is still on the way of recovery and the shows in Switzerland/Suisse should not be affected!

The new year has started very well with some great shows in Tatabanya and Györ both in Hungary and our hails go out to our friends from CASKETGARDEN and AGREGATOR for joining us these couple of days! And of course we also want to thank all the fans, media and promoters for their great support throughout 2009 and this fantastic year for DARKFALL!
But we have to look forward and at the moment we are still working on new songs for our forthcoming but yet untitled album, which is planned to be released in autumn 2010! Of course we are also working on a 15th anniversary show in our hometown Graz, Austria and it looks really good that we will be able to introduce some of our new songs on that show in spring 2010! Due to the fact that our drummer Richard Klösch decided to leave the band and not to play the shows on the upcoming weekend DARKFALL has been forced to cancel the shows on Friday, 06.11.2009 in Pilsen (CZE) and on Saturday, 07.11.2009 in Debrecen (HUN)! We are really sorry and pissed because of these cancellations but within this short-termed period it was not really possible to find a suitable substitution!

October in Bratislava, Slovakia has been cancelled by the
organizer! We have received the information about cancellation
during our trip to Bratislava by a short phone call near
Vienna and yesterday we have received the following lines:
[... In time I wrote you SMS and then called you, was
the situation in club very bad. There was some problem with
sound. So, there was a big risk, if we will looking for
new technical possibilities, the leader of the event will
not play. In that time I called you because I was confident
we will cancel all the show (we also still didn't sell the
tickets in that moment). The problem with sound was fixed
few minutes before 8pm. I didn't want to call you back,
because I knew you turned back home...]
At the moment we are trying to clear the situation and we
all hope that we will be able to catch up our show in Bratislava,
Slovakia as soon as possible! We will keep you informed!

After 10 years of passion, blood and sweat our
bass player Christian Kayer decided to
leave the band and has been replaced by Martin Klement - a young talent from Leibnitz, Styria - in the beginning
of May 2009! We all want to wish Christian all the best for his future and we also want to thank him
for all he has done for the band in the past! Of course
we also want you to read his final words for DARKFALL and the fans:
During these last 10 years I have reached all my aims I
personally set up for DARKFALL and so I had to come to the
decision to leave the band and to make room for a new and
motivated bass player who will be able to forward the band
to the next level. It was a wonderful and emotional time
within this band and I hope that DARKFALL will go on straight
to the top and of course I want to thank all the bands we
have played with and all the fans for their great support
and all the fun we have set up together! Keep on rocking,
headbanging and beer drinking! Yeah! Thanx for all and DARKFALL
forever! Chri

it was an amazing welcome for him and of course for the

Due to a disease of guitarist Markus Seethaler DARKFALL have been forced to cancel their
show in Gleisdorf very short-termed! We are very sorry for
this and all our excuses go to the fans and the local promoters!
We hope that we will be able to catch up the show in Gleisdorf
later this year and that we can end up our bad run regarding
show cancellations very soon too!

Our first European tour is finally history and
we want to thank everyone involved for making all these
things happen and we want to hail the guys from Catapult
Promotion, Prosperity Denied, Parsifall and Return to Innocence
and especially of course all the metalfans which decided
to be a part of this tour! Thank you for turning out with
us, you fucking rule!!!
But deadlock means regress and so we have to look forward
and after a couple of shows which are going to be confirmed
very soon we will take a short break from playing live to
go on with some new material and we all hope that we will
be back on stages with some new stuff very soon! Meanwhile
we will keep you informed about our upcoming shows in the
tour menue! The first show after the tour will happen in
Wolfsberg, Austria with bands like Excrementory Grindfuckers

We have to inform you that our appearance on 100%
Underground Festival in Innsbruck on the 11th of October
2008 has been cancelled due to our show in Innsbruck on
the 23th of October 2008 during our upcoming tour! Instead
of this cancelled show DARKFALL are going
to play in Kapfenberg, Volksheim with bands like Heathen
Foray and Vinegar
Hill.

Unfortunately we have to inform you that DARKFALL have been forced to cancel their upcoming shows in Leoben
(19.09.) and St. Pölten (20.09.) both in Austria due
to a bad accident at work which happened to our guitar player Alfred Hollerer! We are very sorry for
these cancelations but we have decided not to play only
as a four-piece because all included parties like organisators,
press and of course the fans would not get the best available
DARKFALL performance!
We have been informed that we will get the change to play
at STP Metalweekend in St. Pölten next year in 2009
and we also hope to catch up the show in Leoben too very
soon! The upcoming shows in Lienz and Innsbruck and of course
our European tour will not be affected by this case of injury!!!
Our summer break is going to draw to a close and
so the first upcoming shows have been confirmed. DARKFALL
will start their autumnal season with a couple of shows
in Styria, Lower Austria and Tyrol! Please check out the
tour menue for details!
Furthermore the dates for our "Fiery Times in Europe
Tour" will be announced very soon!

Very short-termed we have to inform you that our
show on Undead
Festival has been cancelled by the festival organisation
due to some problems out of our and their responsibilities!
Here is the organiser's original statement regarding the
cancellation:
[... Unfortunetly the owners of the
whole factory - where the venue take a place - informed
us that it was some electric problem on the last months
and they start to repair it on next saturday, and it will
be out of electrocity in the whole factory area, so because
of this we must cancel the second day of the fest and your
show too! Sorry to tell this this but I cant do anything...]
Sorry for that but there really was no change to save this
show but we hope that we will be able to return to Hungary
as soon as possible!

are now concentrating all our activities to re-build our
line up and to get ready to re-enter the European stages

Due to a unlucky accident and a resulted serious
injury of vocalist Thomas SpiwakDARKFALL
were forced to cancel their show on the 3rd of November
2006 in Graz very short-termed, only just a few hours before
show start.
Here the band's statement:
"We are really sorry for this short-termed cancellation
but there was no chance to secure our appearance that day.
We just want to express our apologies to all the fans which
were out there to see us on stage and we can only inform
you that Thomas is trying everything to
get back on stages on the 25th of November 2006 again. So
please watch out for some news in the next days. Thanx for
you understanding! DARKFALL."

upcoming shows in Czech Republic. We are really sorry for
this but there is no other way than to cancel these shows
and we hope that the organisers are able to find some other

Due to some serious problems at the Hungarian border
with the Hungarian border officers DARKFALL
were forced to cancel their show on Undead Festival
in Budapest. Unfortunately the band wasn't allowed to cross
the border on their playing day and so it was impossible
to play the confirmed show there. DARKFALL
wants to express their appologies to the festival organisation
and of course to all Hungarian Metal heads! Maybe the band
and the festival organisation can arrange that DARKFALL
will make up their show on Undead Festival in
2007.

Due to the re-outbreak of Sascha Pick's
hand injury DARKFALL are forced to play
the upcoming shows in Rosenheim (GER) and Budapest (HUN)
as a four piece only. Nevertheless DARKFALL
will be out to kick some fucking asses!
Furthermore DARKFALL have signed to Skydra
Management for all booking, promotion and management

Back from two great festivals in Czech Republic
(Metal Swamp) and Germany (Walpurgis Metal Days) we want
to express our thanx to the organisators of these events
and of course all our endless hails are reserved for all
that great fucking headbanging Metal fans which have been
unleashed on these first festival highlights in 2006.
By the way our guitar player Sascha Pick
is recovered from his injury and still joined us on our
last show in Germany again. So we're prepared for the festival
shows in 2006.

Due to the reason that our guitar player Sascha
Pick broke his right hand DARKFALL is forced
to play the show in Brno on the 22.04.06 with only one guitar
player and Sascha Pick will do some background vocals. However
we hope you'll still enjoy the show.

It`s done! DARKFALL's new release "Phoenix rising"
is out now and can be ordered through this website. Furthermore
the new shirts are also available and because of the release
of the new MCD "Phoenix rising" the website design
has also totally relaunched.

Some new details like playing day, other
bands, etc. about DARKFALL's summer festival appearances
have been added to the tour section and by the way a new
show has been confirmed. So DARKFALL ae going to play on
Metal Zone Kaltenbach Pt. 2 in Vienna, Escape on the 13th
of May and will use that date for a second release party
for "Phoenix rising" in Austria. For further details
please have a look to the tour section.
Furthermore DARKFALL will start the studio
recordings for "Phoenix rising" on Monday the
13th of March and the recordings will last until Sunday
the 19th of March. So the release party for "Phoenix
rising" on the 7th of April in Graz, Explosiv should
be saved. Don't miss that date!!!

A new date is confirmed! So DARKFALL will celebrate the
release party of their upcoming MCD "Phoenix rising"
in their hometown Graz on the 7th of April with bands like
CREMATION, OUTRAGE and local support. For more details please

Beside the release of the new release DARKFALL will also
present new merchandise like the first official DARKFALL
shirts and new stickers.

full length album DARKFALL plans to release the brand new
song "Phoenix rising" on an upcoming Arising Realm
Magazine Compilation and a strictly limited in advance MCD
with two brand new songs and maybe some Live material. So
watch out!

Back from Bratislava, Slovakia DARKFALL wants to express
their thanx to the organisers, especially Eric for putting
everything right there, and of course all the Metal heads
which kept banging until the end and welcomed our new song
"Phoenix rising" with such great reactions.
By the way DARKFALL is looking forward to return to European
stages in early 2006 with their upcoming release and to
ensure that DARKFALL now will focus their activities on
composing new songs and finsihing all works as soon as possible.

Back from Ridanna, Italy we really want to express our thanx
to the organisers and the fantastic fans out there in South
Tyrol. It was a totally crazy show and we're really looking
forward to return to this outstanding location.
Back to the future a new show in Bratilslava, Slovakia is
confirmed on the 9th of December 2005 and so DARKFALL will
continue their ride over Europe.

Back from Slovenji Gradec DARKFALL wants to express their
thanx to the fans, organisation crew and especially to the
waitress at the Pub Fantomas for mixing us such glorious
Red Wine/Coke.

Finally it's done. Our new guitar player Stephan Ritz has
celebrated his live baptism in Schweinfurt, Germany. Thanx
to the organisers and crowd for that endless blasting night
and all at the aftershow party in the "Rockfabrik Schweinfurt"
- keep on drinking fucking Tequila. By the way some live
and backstage photos of this show will be online very soon.
Of course DARKFALL will continue playing more live shows
outside Austria and so a new date in Ridanna/Ridnaun, Italy
is confirmed. Hopefully some more dates in Czech Republic
and Slovakia will also be confirmed in a few days.

A new date is confirmed. So DARKFALL is going to play in
Slovenji Gradec, Slovenia on the 29th of October 2005. For
more details please have a look on our Tour section. More
shows in Slovenia will follow in the beginning of 2006.
By the way we're still working on some gigs in Czech Republic
and Slovakia. So watch out!

A new date is confirmed, so DARKFALL is going to play in
Schweinfurt, Germany on the 15th of October 2005. For more
details please have a look on our Tour section. By the way
some new live pictures from our past festival shows have
been added to the Gallery section and a few new banners
and logos have been added to the Downloads section too.

Finally it's done! DARKFALL is proud to present a new guitarist
named Stephan Ritz, a young talent from Styria, which will
celebrate his baptism of fire at our upcoming shows in Slovenia,
Czech Republic and Slovakia in autumn 2005. More details
will be announced soon.
Beside this very good news we also want
to inform you that some new information about DARKFALL are
now available. So a lot of new MP3s, reviews, banners and
logos are now online and new band pictures and new live
photos from our festival shows will also be online soon.

First of all a big fucking hail to all our friends and fans
for their great support during the last festivals and shows.
That's the way of true fucking Metal! See ya again!!!
Unfortunately we also have to inform you
that our lead guitarist Thomas Stock decided to leave the
band due to some personal reasons and that his stage appearances
on Kaltenbach Open Air were his last shows for DARKFALL
and also his second band CREMATION. Of course his decision
is a real shock for us and it happened at a very bad term
for us but nevertheless we want to thank him for the last
months of heavy drinking and great shows throughout Europe
and we wish you all the best for future.
Regarding this bad news we also want to
inform that we're now searching for a new guitarist and
if you're interested to join DARKFALL please feel free to
contact us at darkfall@gmx.at
By the way during the next few weeks we'll
also do a great website update with new photos from our
festival shows, some MP3s, all our past shows and some other
